Christos Floros has been elected as the new president of DP International, the Democratic Party<\/a>\u2019s International wing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Floros succeeds Lu\u00eds Oliveira<\/a>, who voluntarily steps down to allow for fresh vision and dynamic leadership within the international wing of the party. The new president will take over his duties starting in November.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Floros is set to lead efforts in growing the party\u2019s international membership and promoting inclusive debate reflecting Luxembourg\u2019s diverse population.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Christos Floros, an architect by profession who works in Luxembourg’s technology sector in Marketing and Communications, brings a wealth of experience and dedication to his new role. His commitment to political inclusion has focused on expanding the voice of all residents in Luxembourg, including foreign residents and newly naturalized citizens by encouraging political participation. Floros previously ran in the June 2024 European Parliament elections as a candidate for the Democratic Party, further solidifying his involvement in shaping Luxembourg’s political landscape.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In taking on this leadership role, Floros aims to continue the work of DP International in ensuring that all residents, regardless of their background, feel empowered to engage with their local communities and that the party remains representative of Luxembourg’s diverse population.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Together, we will work to ensure that Luxembourg remains an inclusive, forward-looking country where everyone feels at home and all are empowered to participate. I want to thank Luis for his total commitment over the last 5 years to this incredibly important wing of our large, inclusive, democratic party and for the trust the party places onto me to continue this work. Under Floros’ leadership, DP International will focus on further enabling all residents to engage actively with the party, ensuring that local sections reflect the true diversity of Luxembourg. By focusing on inclusion and participation, DP International will continue its mission to make Luxembourg a place where everyone can contribute and feel represented.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
