id=\"DE\">Deutsche Version<\/h1>\n\n\n\n<p>Hallo zusammen,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Der Echternacher Sch\u00f6ffenrat spricht immer von einer Stadt im Aufbruch \u2013&nbsp;<em>eng Stad a Bewegung<\/em>. Uns als DP fehlt in diesem Slogan das Menschliche und das Soziale.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Wenn ich auf die letzten Jahre zur\u00fcckblicke, sind viele neue Einwohner nach Echternach gezogen. Sie kommen aus unterschiedlichen L\u00e4ndern (neuerdings auch aus der Ukraine) und bereichern unsere Stadt mit ihren Kulturen, die sie mitbringen. Als Gemeinde muss es unsere Aufgabe sein, alle B\u00fcrgerinnen und B\u00fcrger in das Stadtleben zu integrieren. Das geht am besten \u00fcber unsere Vereine und Clubs, in denen Jung und Alt aktiv werden k\u00f6nnen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Als DP liegt es uns auch am Herzen, dass Menschen, denen es nicht so gut geht, betreut werden. Neben dem Sozialamt, das eine \u00e4u\u00dferst wichtige Dienstleistung f\u00fcr unsere B\u00fcrgerinnen und B\u00fcrger erbringt, m\u00fcssen schnellstm\u00f6glich konkrete Hilfeleistungen definiert werden. Auch hierf\u00fcr ist die Gemeinde zust\u00e4ndig.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em><strong>Georges Hoscheid<\/strong><\/em><br><em>Pr\u00e4sident der DP Echternach<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Von der DP gefordert und von der CSV-LSAP-Mehrheit im Gemeinderat \u00fcbernommen<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Die Gemeinderatssitzungen werden aufgezeichnet und k\u00f6nnen von allen interessierten B\u00fcrgern angeh\u00f6rt werden<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Im alten \u201aQuartier Gare\u2018 soll auch in Zukunft ein Schwimmbad Bestandteil der neuen Sportanlage sein<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Die Treppe vom Campingplatz zum \u201aTrooskneppchen\u2018 wurde neu angelegt<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Die Zusch\u00fcsse f\u00fcr Sport- und Freizeitvereine wurden in den letzten Jahren deutlich erh\u00f6ht<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Um die \u201aKnepper\u2018-Kreuzung zu entlasten und den Verkehr fl\u00fcssiger flie\u00dfen zu lassen, wurde die Strecke \u00fcber den Marktplatz zur Einbahnstra\u00dfe erkl\u00e4rt. Dadurch konnten auch zus\u00e4tzliche Parkpl\u00e4tze geschaffen werden.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Damit die Echternacher Kinder trotz vor\u00fcbergehender Schlie\u00dfung des Schwimmbades Schwimmen lernen, k\u00f6nnen ihre Eltern einen Zuschuss von 120 Euro zur Finanzierung eines Anf\u00e4nger-Schwimmkurses erhalten.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Auf die Gefahren von Hochwasser sollen die B\u00fcrger durch einen Hochwasserleitfaden vorbereitet werden.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Am Standort \u201aHeilig-Kreuz\u2018 soll es einen neuen Parkplatz geben<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Die Ortsvereine erhielten von der Gemeinde Getr\u00e4nkebecher f\u00fcr ihre Mitglieder. Die Schulkinder sollen bald weitere Becher erhalten.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Eine erweiterte Einbindung der Union commerciale et artisanale, ein Marketing-Konzept das den ganzen Einzelhandel einbezieht, keine offensichtliche Konkurrenz f\u00fcr bestehende Gesch\u00e4fte und eine moderne und barrierefreie Infrastruktur in und um die Gesch\u00e4ftsstra\u00dfen sind festgelegte Voraussetzungen f\u00fcr ein Shopping Echternach Projekt.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Yvonne Amodio:&nbsp;Der Handel, unsere Gesch\u00e4ftswelt, ist wichtig f\u00fcr Echternach und sollte die gleiche Bedeutung haben wie Tourismus und Kultur. Wir brauchen eine gesunde und interessante Gesch\u00e4ftswelt sowohl f\u00fcr unsere B\u00fcrger als auch f\u00fcr die Besucher der Stadt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Jean-Christophe Dufour:&nbsp;Die Gemeinde sollte eine allgemeine Bestandsaufnahme unserer oft veralteten unterirdischen Infrastruktur durchf\u00fchren.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Emile Elsen:&nbsp;Man sieht, egal wo man in Echternach unterwegs ist, immer mehr Hinterlassenschaften von Hunden. Unsere Ordnungsbeamten sollten dort mehr Kontrollen durchf\u00fchren.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Lurdes Freitas:&nbsp;Nach der Corona-Pandemie ist es enorm wichtig, dass wir die vielen \u00e4lteren Menschen, die in Echternach entweder noch zu Hause oder in einer Betreuungseinrichtung leben, st\u00e4rker in das Stadtleben integrieren.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Claude Hansen:&nbsp;Es fehlt an Ideen und konkreten Konzepten, um die n\u00e4chste Generation unabh\u00e4ngiger von den konfliktbehafteten und endlichen fossilen Brennstoffen und deren negativen Auswirkungen auf unser Klima zu machen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Andr\u00e9 Hartmann:&nbsp;Wir m\u00fcssen unsere Geschichte und das Echternacher Kulturerbe deutlich mehr achten und diese auch aufwerten.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Carole Hartmann:&nbsp;Nach diversen Fauxpas\u2018 gegen\u00fcber den staatlichen Beh\u00f6rden, gilt es in den kommenden Jahren bessere Beziehungen und neues Vertrauen zwischen der Stadt Echternach und den \u00fcbergeordneten Verwaltungen aufzubauen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mars Heinen:&nbsp;Unsere Vereine leisten sehr wertvolle Beitr\u00e4ge in der Kinder- und Jugendarbeit. Nach den R\u00fcckschl\u00e4gen durch das letzte Hochwasser muss unsere Gemeinde allen Vereinen st\u00e4rker unter die Arme greifen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Franco Nanna:&nbsp;Ja zu neuen Projekten in Echternach. Allerdings m\u00fcssen diese ganzheitlich betrachtet werden, insbesondere mit Zugang f\u00fcr alle B\u00fcrger, angemessener Beschilderung und alternativer Mobilit\u00e4t.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Myriam Nanna-Schwartz:&nbsp;In einer Stadt mit einer wirklich multikulturellen Bev\u00f6lkerung sollte regelm\u00e4\u00dfig eine \u201aNuit de la culture\u2018 veranstaltet werden.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Steve Wagner:&nbsp;Wenn die Kommune seit 2017 j\u00e4hrlich 180.000 Euro an einen \u201aShoppingberater\u2018 aus Hamburg zahlt, ist es ein Skandal, dass die \u201aHalergaass\u2018 nicht aufgewertet wird und der Gesch\u00e4ftsverband seinerseits mit einem kommunalen Zuschuss von nur 15.000 Euro j\u00e4hrlich auskommen muss.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Fr\u00e9d\u00e9ric Varelas:&nbsp;F\u00fcr das Fahrrad wird zu wenig getan. Wir brauchen mehr Fahrradwege und viel mehr Fahrradst\u00e4nder im Herzen der Stadt, sowohl f\u00fcr die B\u00fcrger als auch f\u00fcr die Touristen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Nach den historischen Entdeckungen hinter der \u201e<strong>Petite Marquise<\/strong>\u201c und dem Vorschlag des Kulturministeriums, das gesamte Gel\u00e4nde als \u201eNationales Monument\u201c zu klassifizieren, war uns als DP schnell klar, dass hier eine Chance f\u00fcr Echternach liegt, sich noch deutlicher als \u00e4lteste Stadt des Landes zu pr\u00e4sentieren.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Die CSV-LSAP-Mehrheit hatte sich zun\u00e4chst gegen die arch\u00e4ologische Einsch\u00e4tzung gestemmt. Einige wollten \u201aauf Teufel komm raus\u2018 an der urspr\u00fcnglichen Planung festhalten, andere wollten die Funde einfach zusch\u00fctten.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Inzwischen hat der Sch\u00f6ffenrat die DP-Position \u00fcbernommen und will die arch\u00e4ologischen Funde in ein angepasstes Bauvorhaben integrieren. Als DP haben wir betont, dass die Funde f\u00fcr B\u00fcrger, Besucher und Touristen sichtbar und zug\u00e4nglich sein m\u00fcssen. Nach unserer Auffassung k\u00f6nnte etwa die Tourist-Information mit einem Besprechungs- und Ausstellungsraum an diese Stelle verlegt werden, um jung und alt einen direkten Einblick in Geschichte und Kultur unserer Stadt zu erm\u00f6glichen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Bereits 2018 forderte die DP im Gemeinderat, dass die Stra\u00dfen, B\u00fcrgersteige und Wege in der Innenstadt und rund um die Alten- und Pflegeheime priorit\u00e4r in Stand gesetzt werden m\u00fcssen, ebenso dass alle Gehwege und Zebrastreifen behindertengerecht werden und rund um den Marktplatz das Kopfsteinpflaster in verschiedenen Abschnitten abgeschliffen wird, damit sich&nbsp;<strong>Menschen mit eingeschr\u00e4nkter Mobilit\u00e4t&nbsp;<\/strong>dort sicherer bewegen k\u00f6nnen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Die meisten dieser Vorschl\u00e4ge wurden angenommen. Die Umsetzung durch die aktuelle CSV-LSAP-Mehrheit ist jedoch zu langsam. Dabei leben dort viele \u00e4ltere Menschen, die unter bestm\u00f6glichen Bedingungen am Stadtleben teilhaben sollten. Viele von ihnen haben aber Angst, sich auf dem \u201ahistorischen\u2018 Pflaster zu bewegen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In den letzten Jahren haben&nbsp;<strong>Ordnungswidrigkeiten und Verbrechen<\/strong>&nbsp;in Echternach zugenommen. Als DP haben wir mehrfach beim Sch\u00f6ffenrat interveniert, damit zusammen mit der Polizei nach einer L\u00f6sung geschaut wird, um die Pr\u00e4vention in Echternach zu st\u00e4rken und die Polizei deutlich sichtbarer zu machen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Neben mehr Polizeipr\u00e4senz wird die Rolle unserer drei Ordnungsbeamten durch ein neues Gesetz an Bedeutung gewinnen. Als Gemeinde m\u00fcssen wir auch bestimmte Pl\u00e4tze in den Abendstunden besser beleuchten.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Diverse Infrastrukturen in Echternach brauchen schon lange einen neuen Look. Als DP haben wir bereits mehrfach darum gebeten, dass kurzfristig die veralteten \u201aStadtm\u00f6bel\u2018 in der Innenstadt und vor allem in der Haalergaass durch modernere ersetzt werden; aber auch dass die gesamte Haalergaass gemeinsam mit interessierten B\u00fcrgern langfristig umgestaltet wird<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Das Jahrhunderthochwasser im Juli 2021 und diverse Starkregenperioden haben noch einmal deutlich gemacht, wie wichtig Pr\u00e4ventions- und Schutzma\u00dfnahmen in diesem Bereich sind. Deshalb haben wir als DP im Gemeinderat gefordert, dass das&nbsp;<strong>Hochwasser<\/strong>&nbsp;in den verschiedenen Stadtteilen dokumentiert und analysiert wird, um dann entsprechende Schl\u00fcsse daraus ziehen zu k\u00f6nnen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Im Gegensatz zu anderen Kommunen, die ihre B\u00fcrger seit letztem Jahr durch Gespr\u00e4che oder Informationsveranstaltungen gemeinsam mit den zust\u00e4ndigen Ministerien ins Boot geholt haben, wird in Echternach wenig bis gar nicht \u00fcber die Hochwasserproblematik gesprochen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Zudem ist seit Jahren bekannt, dass die Wasser- und Abwasserleitungen in vielen Stra\u00dfen instandgesetzt oder erweitert werden m\u00fcssen. Diese Arbeit m\u00fcssen im Interesse der B\u00fcrgerinnen und B\u00fcrger schnell begonnen werden.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Als DP setzen wir uns schon lange daf\u00fcr ein, dass direkt an der deutschen Grenze ein gr\u00f6\u00dferer Park &amp; Ride-Platz entstehen muss. Der Parkplatz in der Rue des B\u00e9n\u00e9dictins ist sicherlich eine Verbesserung. Allerdings fahren dort keine Busse direkt vorbei und die Leute m\u00fcssen daher zu Fu\u00df bis \u201aA Kack\u2018 oder zum neuen Busbahnhof gehen. Auf Vorschlag der DP wird nun ein neuer Parkplatz auf dem Gel\u00e4nde des \u201aHeilig Kreuz\u2018 vom Sch\u00f6ffenrat gepr\u00fcft.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Am alten Bahnhof ist es zu einer v\u00f6llig falschen&nbsp;<strong>Parkraum<\/strong>planung gekommen. Als DP haben wir immer wieder betont, dass das Parkhaus als erstes im Rahmen des Projekts \u201aCampus Gare\u2018 h\u00e4tte gebaut werden sollen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Neben den gr\u00f6\u00dferen Parkpl\u00e4tzen muss es auch weiterhin Pl\u00e4tze im Herzen der Stadt geben, wo man Auto oder Fahrrad f\u00fcr eine Erledigungen, einen Termin, einen Apothekenbesuch oder f\u00fcr einen Sprung in die Post kurzzeitig abstellen kann.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Trotz aktueller&nbsp;<strong>Energie<\/strong>krise und Klimawandel setzt die Gemeinde Echternach weiterhin auf Gas. Anstatt ein \u00fcbergreifendes Energiekonzept zu entwickeln, Erneuerbare Energien auszubauen und die Energieversorgung der Stadt Echternach abzusichern, werden beispielsweise im \u201aOachtergaert\u2018 noch Gasleitungen f\u00fcr 220.000 Euro verlegt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Viele B\u00fcrgerinnen und B\u00fcrger w\u00fcnschen sich gerade nach dem schweren Hochwasser vom Juli 2021 Alternativen zu den klassischen \u00d6l- oder Gasheizungen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Die DP fordert seit langem, dass die Stadt Echternach mehr in erneuerbare Energien und Energieeffizienz investiert. Pour le DP, l&#8217;aspect humain et social fait d\u00e9faut dans ce slogan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ces derni\u00e8res ann\u00e9es, de nombreux nouveaux habitants se sont install\u00e9s \u00e0 Echternach. Ils viennent de diff\u00e9rents pays (plus r\u00e9cemment aussi de l&#8217;Ukraine) et enrichissent notre ville de leurs cultures. C&#8217;est le r\u00f4le de la municipalit\u00e9 d&#8217;impliquer tous les citoyens dans la vie de la ville. Sans aucun doute, nos clubs et assciations&nbsp; locaux sont une aide pr\u00e9cieuse pour y arriver.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Le DP a \u00e9galement \u00e0 c\u0153ur d\u2019aider les personnes qui se trouvent dans des situations pr\u00e9caires. En sus de l\u2019office social, qui offre un service extr\u00eamement important \u00e0 nos concitoyens, des aides suppl\u00e9mentaires doivent \u00eatre pr\u00e9vues d\u00e8s que possible. Ceci a \u00e9galement permis de cr\u00e9er des emplacements de parking suppl\u00e9mentaires.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Pour que les enfants d&#8217;Echternach puissent apprendre \u00e0 nager pendant la fermeture de la piscine municipale, leurs parents peuvent b\u00e9n\u00e9ficier d&#8217;une bourse de 120 Euros afin de financer un cours de natation pour d\u00e9butants.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Il est pr\u00e9vu que les citoyens soient inform\u00e9s des ph\u00e9nom\u00e8nes d&#8217;inondation par le biais d&#8217;un guide sur les inondations.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Un nouveau parking est pr\u00e9vu sur le site de la &#8216;Sainte-Croix&#8217;.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Afin de reduire l&#8217;utilisation de bouteilles en plastique, les associations locales ont re\u00e7u des petits bidons d\u2019eau pour leurs membres. Les enfants de l\u2019\u00e9cole fondamentale recevront \u00e9galement de tels bidons.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Une implication plus large de l&#8217;Union commerciale et artisanale, un concept de marketing qui englobe l&#8217;ensemble du commerce de d\u00e9tail, sans concurrence manifeste pour les magasins existants, ainsi qu&#8217;une infrastructure moderne et accessible \u00e0 proximit\u00e9 des rues commer\u00e7antes sont des pr\u00e9requis indispensables pour un projet&nbsp;<em>Shopping Echternach<\/em>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Yvonne Amodio : Le commerce au sens large est important pour Echternach et devrait avoir la m\u00eame importance que le tourisme et la culture. Nous avons besoin d&#8217;une offre diversifi\u00e9e \u00e0 la fois pour les citoyens et pour les visiteurs de la ville.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Jean-Christophe Dufour: La commune devrait effectuer un inventaire global de toutes nos infrastructures souterraines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Emile Elsen : On voit de plus en plus de crottes de chiens partout dans la ville. Nos agents municipaux devraient effectuer davantage de contr\u00f4les et avertir, et m\u00eame verbaliser les propri\u00e9taires qui ne respectent pas la salubrit\u00e9 publique.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Lurdes Freitas : Les habitants plus \u00e2g\u00e9s de la ville doivent \u00eatre davantage associ\u00e9s \u00e0 et impliqu\u00e9s dans la vie associative et culturelle de la ville.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Claude Hansen : Le coll\u00e8ge \u00e9chevinal manque d&#8217;id\u00e9es et de concepts concrets pour rendre la prochaine g\u00e9n\u00e9ration moins d\u00e9pendante des \u00e9nergies fossiles et de leurs impacts n\u00e9gatifs sur notre climat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Andr\u00e9 Hartmann : Il faudrait davantage honorer et valoriser l\u2019histoire et le patrimoine de la Ville d&#8217;Echternach.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Carole Hartmann : Apr\u00e8s un certain nombre de faux pas envers les autorit\u00e9s publiques, il sera important, dans les ann\u00e9es \u00e0 venir, de r\u00e9tablir une meilleure communication et une relation de confiance entre la Ville d&#8217;Echternach et les diverses autorit\u00e9s.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Marcel Heinen : Nos clubs et associations apportent une contribution tr\u00e8s pr\u00e9cieuse dans le domaine de l&#8217;enfance et de la jeunesse. Apr\u00e8s les revers subis lors des derni\u00e8res inondations, notre commune doit soutenir davantage l\u2019ensemble des clubs et associations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Franco Nanna : Oui \u00e0 de nouveaux projets \u00e0 Echternach. Ceux-ci doivent cependant \u00eatre envisag\u00e9s avec un esprit innovateur. En particulier, il est n\u00e9cessaire de garantir l&#8217;accessibilit\u00e9 de tous les citoyens, de fournir une signalisation ad\u00e9quate et de prendre en consid\u00e9ration tous les types de mobilit\u00e9.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Myriam Nanna-Schwartz: Vu le caract\u00e8re multiculturel de notre population, une &#8216;nuit de la culture&#8217; devrait \u00eatre organis\u00e9e de fa\u00e7on r\u00e9guli\u00e8re.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Steve Wagner : Alors que la commune paie 180.000 Euros par an \u00e0 un conseiller commercial de Hambourg depuis 2017, il est scandaleux que la &#8216;Halergaass&#8217; n\u2019ait toujours pas \u00e9t\u00e9 r\u00e9am\u00e9nag\u00e9e et que l\u2019Union commerciale et artisanale, pour sa part, doive se contenter d&#8217;une subvention communale de seulement 15.000 Euros par an.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Fr\u00e9d\u00e9ric Varelas : Le v\u00e9lo n&#8217;est pas suffisamment promu \u00e0 Echternach. Il nous faut davantage de pistes cyclables et\/ou de sentiers de promenade, ainsi que des porte-v\u00e9los en plein c\u0153ur de la ville. Les habitants et les touristes en b\u00e9n\u00e9ficieraient.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Apr\u00e8s les d\u00e9couvertes historiques derri\u00e8re la &#8220;<strong>Petite Marquise<\/strong>&#8221; et la proposition du minist\u00e8re de la Culture de classer l&#8217;ensemble du site comme &#8220;Monument national&#8221;, le DP a vite compris, que c\u2019\u00e9tait l\u2019occasion pour Echternach de se positionner encore plus clairement comme la ville, la plus ancienne du pays.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Au d\u00e9but, la majorit\u00e9 CSV-LSAP a remis en cause les constats arch\u00e9ologiques. Certaines personnes voulaient&nbsp; mener \u00e0 bien le projet initial &#8216;\u00e0 n&#8217;importe quel prix&#8217;, d&#8217;autres voulaient simplement combler les d\u00e9couvertes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Entre-temps, le coll\u00e8ge \u00e9chevinal a adopt\u00e9 la position du DP et veut int\u00e9grer les d\u00e9couvertes arch\u00e9ologiques dans un projet de construction adapt\u00e9. En tant que DP, nous avons soulign\u00e9 que les d\u00e9couvertes devaient \u00eatre visibles et accessibles aux citoyens, aux visiteurs et aux touristes. Selon nous, l&#8217;office du tourisme pourrait par exemple \u00eatre d\u00e9plac\u00e9 \u00e0 cet endroit, avec une salle de r\u00e9union et d&#8217;exposition, afin de permettre aux jeunes et aux moins jeunes d&#8217;avoir un aper\u00e7u direct de l&#8217;histoire et de la culture de notre ville.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>D\u00e9j\u00e0 en 2018, le DP a demand\u00e9 que les rues, les trottoirs et les pav\u00e9s aux alentours du centre-ville devraient \u00eatre am\u00e9nag\u00e9s afin de les rendre accessibles pour toutes les&nbsp;<strong>personnes \u00e0 mobilit\u00e9 r\u00e9duite<\/strong>. Sur la place du March\u00e9, une bande \u00e0 rev\u00eatement lisse devrait \u00eatre am\u00e9nag\u00e9e \u00e0 leur profit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La plupart de ces propositions ont \u00e9t\u00e9 accept\u00e9es par le coll\u00e8ge \u00e9chevinal. La mise en \u0153uvre de celles-ci par la majorit\u00e9 CSV-LSAP est cependant beaucoup trop lente. Ceci est particuli\u00e8rement d\u00e9cevant pour beaucoup de personnes \u00e2g\u00e9es vivant \u00e0 Echternach qui souhaitent participer pleinement \u00e0 la vie urbaine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ces derni\u00e8res ann\u00e9es, les&nbsp;<strong>incivilit\u00e9s et infractions<\/strong>&nbsp;ont augment\u00e9 \u00e0 Echternach. Les conseillers communaux du DP sont intervenus \u00e0 plusieurs reprises aupr\u00e8s du coll\u00e8ge \u00e9chevinal afin que la police s&#8217;implique davantage par une plus grande pr\u00e9sence et un renforcement du travail de pr\u00e9vention.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Les nouvelles comp\u00e9tences attribu\u00e9es dans une loi r\u00e9cente aux agents municipaux devraient quant \u00e0 elles \u00eatre appliqu\u00e9es sur le terrain. De plus, il devrait y avoir un meilleur \u00e9clairage dans certains quartiers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Un certain nombre d&#8217;installations \u00e0 Echternach doivent faire peau neuve. En tant que DP, nous n\u2019arr\u00eatons pas de demander que le mobilier urbain du centre-ville et surtout de la<em>Haalergaass&nbsp;<\/em>soit remplac\u00e9 \u00e0 court terme par un mobilier plus moderne. \u00c0 long terme, toute la zone pi\u00e9tonne devrait \u00eatre r\u00e9am\u00e9nag\u00e9e en collaboration avec les citoyens int\u00e9ress\u00e9s.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La crue centennale de juillet 2021 et diverses p\u00e9riodes de fortes pluies ont encore une fois mis en \u00e9vidence l&#8217;importance des mesures de pr\u00e9vention et de protection contre les&nbsp;<strong>inondations<\/strong>. Les conseillers du DP ont, de ce fait, demand\u00e9 \u00e0 ce que les inondations qui se r\u00e9p\u00e8tent dans les diff\u00e9rents quartiers de la ville soient document\u00e9es et analys\u00e9es afin de pouvoir tirer les conclusions qui s&#8217;imposent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Contrairement \u00e0 d&#8217;autres communes qui, depuis l&#8217;ann\u00e9e derni\u00e8re, ont impliqu\u00e9 leurs habitants en organisant des entretiens ou des r\u00e9unions d&#8217;information en collaboration avec les minist\u00e8res comp\u00e9tents, le coll\u00e8ge \u00e9chevinal de la Ville d\u2019Echternach n\u2019a que tr\u00e8s peu communiqu\u00e9 sur la probl\u00e9matique des inondations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ceci est d\u2019autant plus grave que l\u2019on sait depuis des ann\u00e9es que les canalisations d&#8217;eau et d&#8217;eaux us\u00e9es de nombreuses rues doivent \u00eatre remises en \u00e9tat ou agrandies. Ces travaux doivent \u00eatre entam\u00e9s au plus vite dans l&#8217;int\u00e9r\u00eat des citoyens.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Le DP intervient depuis longtemps pour qu&#8217;un parking relais soit cr\u00e9\u00e9 pr\u00e8s de la fronti\u00e8re allemande. Le parking situ\u00e9 dans la<em>&nbsp;rue des B\u00e9n\u00e9dictins&nbsp;<\/em>est \u00e0 saluer. Cependant, les transports en commun n&#8217;y passent pas et les gens doivent donc aller jusqu&#8217;\u00e0 &#8216;A Kack&#8217; ou jusqu&#8217;\u00e0 la nouvelle gare routi\u00e8re pour y prendre un bus. Sur proposition du DP, un nouveau parking sur le terrain de la &#8216;Sainte-Croix&#8217; est actuellement \u00e0 l&#8217;\u00e9tude par le coll\u00e8ge \u00e9chevinal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dans l\u2019ancien quartier de la Gare, le r\u00e9am\u00e9nagement des&nbsp;<strong>places de parking<\/strong>&nbsp;a \u00e9t\u00e9 mal planifi\u00e9. En tant que DP, nous avons toujours soulign\u00e9 que le parking \u00e0 \u00e9tages aurait d\u00fb \u00eatre construit en premier lieu dans le cadre du projet &#8216;Campus Gare&#8217;.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>En plus des grands parkings, il faut maintenir un certain nombre d\u2019emplacements pour les voitures et les v\u00e9los au c\u0153ur de la ville. Ces places de stationnement de courte dur\u00e9e sont r\u00e9serv\u00e9es pour faire des petites courses, un rendez-vous, une visite \u00e0 la pharmacie ou \u00e0 la poste.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Malgr\u00e9 la crise \u00e9nerg\u00e9tique et le changement climatique, la Ville d&#8217;Echternach continue \u00e0 miser sur le gaz. Au lieu de d\u00e9velopper un concept \u00e9nerg\u00e9tique global, de favoriser les&nbsp;<strong>\u00e9nergies<\/strong>&nbsp;renouvelables et de s\u00e9curiser l&#8217;approvisionnement \u00e9nerg\u00e9tique de la commune, des conduites de gaz ont par exemple encore \u00e9t\u00e9 mises en place dans les &#8216;Oachtergaert&#8217; pour un montant de 220.000 Euros.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Apr\u00e8s les graves inondations de juillet 2021, de nombreux citoyens aimeraient, en plus, recourir \u00e0 des alternatives aux chauffages au fioul ou au gaz.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Le DP demande depuis longtemps que le coll\u00e8ge \u00e9chevinal mise davantage sur les \u00e9nergies renouvelables. Our local clubs and associations play a key role in fulfilling this important task.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The DP is also committed to helping people who find themselves in precarious situations. In addition to the social office, which offers an extremely important service to our citizens, concrete measures must be defined as soon as possible. This is also a responsibility of the municipality.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em><strong>Georges Hoscheid<\/strong><\/em><br><em>President of DP Echternach<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Demanded by the DP and endorsed by the CSV-LSAP majority in the local council<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The local council meetings are recorded and can be watched by all interested citizens.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The project for the new sports complex in the former &#8216;Quartier Gare&#8217; includes a swimming hall.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The staircase from the official camping site to \u2018Trooskneppchen\u2019 has been reinstalled.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The subsidies for sports and leisure clubs have been increased considerably in recent years.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In order to relieve traffic congestion at the &#8216;Knepper&#8217; junction, the road through the market square was routed in one direction only. This also means that a few additional parking spots could be built.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>To help Echternach children learn to swim despite the temporary closure of the swimming pool, parents can benefit from a grant of 120\u20ac to finance a beginner swimming course for their kids.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Citizens should be informed about flooding events by means of a guide on floods.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A new car park is planned on the &#8216;Sainte-Croix&#8217; site.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The local associations have received small water containers for their members. The children of the primary school should also soon receive such containers.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A broader involvement of the trade and craft association, a marketing concept that includes the whole retail trade, no apparent competition for the existing shops and a modern and accessible infrastructure in and around the shopping streets are indispensable prerequisites for a Shopping Echternach project.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Yvonne Amodio: Commerce in the broadest sense is important for Echternach and should have the same importance as tourism and culture. We need a diversified offer which is interesting for both citizens and visitors of the city.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Jean-Christophe Dufour: The municipality should make a global inventory of all our underground infrastructures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Emile Elsen: We are seeing more and more dog poop all over the city. Our municipal officers should carry out more checks and warn, and even fine, owners who do not respect public hygiene.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Lurdes Freitas: In the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic, it is extremely important to encourage a large number of elderly people living in Echternach to participate in the city&#8217;s cultural and community life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Claude Hansen: The board of aldermen lacks concrete ideas and concepts to help the next generation become less dependent on fossil fuels and their negative impact on our climate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Andr\u00e9 Hartmann: The history and heritage of the city of Echternach should be honoured and valued more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Carole Hartmann: After a number of missteps towards public authorities, it will be important in the coming years to re-establish better communication and trust between the city of Echternach and the various authorities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mars Heinen: Our clubs and associations make a very valuable contribution to the field of children and youth. After the setbacks of the last floods, our municipality should give more support to all these clubs and associations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Franco Nanna: Yes to new projects in Echternach. However, these must be considered with an innovative spirit. In particular, it is necessary to guarantee access to all citizens, to provide adequate signage and to take into account all types of mobility.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Myriam Nanna-Schwartz: As a city with a very multicultural population, a &#8216;culture night&#8217; should be organised on a regular basis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Steve Wagner: While the municipality has been paying 180,000 euros a year to a Hamburg business consultant since 2017, it is scandalous that the &#8216;Halergaass&#8217; has still not been redeveloped and that the Trade and Crafts Union, for its part, has to make do with a municipal subsidy of only 15,000 euros a year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Fr\u00e9d\u00e9ric Varelas: Cycling is not supported enough in Echternach. We need more cycle paths and\/or footpaths, as well as bike racks in the heart of the city. Both inhabitants and tourists would benefit from this.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After the historical discoveries behind the &#8220;<strong>Petite Marquise<\/strong>&#8221; and the proposal of the Ministry of Culture to classify the whole site as a &#8220;National Monument&#8221;, we as PD quickly realised that this was an opportunity for Echternach to position itself even more clearly as the oldest town in the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At the beginning, the CSV-LSAP majority questioned the archaeological findings. Some wanted to carry out the original project &#8216;at any cost&#8217;, others just wanted to fill up the findings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the meantime, the board of aldermen has adopted the position of the DP and wants to integrate the archaeological findings into a suitable construction project. As the DP, we stressed that the archaeological findings should be visible and accessible to citizens, visitors and tourists. In our opinion, the tourist office could for example be moved to this location, with a meeting and exhibition room, to give young and old a direct insight into the history and culture of our city.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Already in 2018, the DP requested that the streets, pavements and pavements around the city centre should be made accessible for all&nbsp;<strong>people with reduced mobility<\/strong>&nbsp;living in Echternach or staying there. On the market square, a smooth strip should be created for them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Most of these proposals have been accepted by the board of aldermen. However, the implementation of these proposals by the CSV-LSAP majority is far too slow. This is particularly disappointing for many elderly people living in Echternach who want to fully participate in urban life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In recent years,&nbsp;<strong>incivilities and offences<\/strong>&nbsp;have increased in Echternach. The local councillors of the DP have intervened several times with the board of aldermen in order to get the police more involved through a greater physical presence and a reinforcement of their prevention work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On the other hand, new competencies attributed to municipal officers through a new law should be applied shortly. In addition, there should be better lighting in some boroughs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A number of facilities in Echternach are in need of investment and reparations. As the DP, we keep asking for the urban property in the city centre and especially in the Haalergaass to be replaced in the short term by more one. In the long term, the entire pedestrian zone should be redesigned in cooperation with the citizens.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The \u2018century flood\u2019 in July 2021 and various periods of heavy rainfall have once again highlighted the importance of&nbsp;<strong>flood<\/strong>&nbsp;prevention and protection measures. The DP councillors therefore requested that the recurring floods in the various districts of the city be documented and analysed in order to draw the necessary conclusions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In contrast to other municipalities that have been involving their citizens since last year by organising talks or information meetings in collaboration with the competent ministries, the board of aldermen of the city of Echternach has communicated very little on the flooding issue.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This is all the more serious as it has been known for years that the water and waste water pipes in many streets need to be repaired or extended. This work must be started as soon as possible in the interest of the citizens.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The DP has been campaigning for a long time for a park-and-ride facility near the German border. The car park in Rue des B\u00e9n\u00e9dictins is to be welcomed. However, public transport does not run there, so people have to go to &#8216;A Kack&#8217; or to the new bus station to catch a bus. Following the suggestion of the DP, the board of aldermen decided to assess the viability of building a new car park on the &#8216;Sainte-Croix&#8217; site.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The redevelopment of the&nbsp;<strong>parking spaces<\/strong>&nbsp;next to the old train station was poorly planned. As the DP, we have always stressed that the multi-storey car parking should have been built first as part of the &#8216;Campus Gare\u2019 project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition to large car parkings, a number of parking spaces for cars and bicycles must be maintained in the heart of the city. These short-term parking spaces are reserved for short shopping trips, appointments, visits to the pharmacy or the post office.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Despite the current energy crisis and climate change, the city of Echternach continues to rely on gas. Instead of developing a comprehensive energy concept, promoting renewable energies and securing the&nbsp;<strong>energy<\/strong>&nbsp;supply of the municipality, gas pipes have for example been laid in the &#8216;Oachtergaert&#8217; at a cost of 220,000 euros.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After the severe flooding in July 2021, many citizens would also like to use alternatives to oil or gas heating.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The DP has long been calling for the board of aldermen to focus more on renewable energy. No entanto, a implementa\u00e7\u00e3o destas propostas pela maioria do CSV-LSAP \u00e9 demasiado lenta. Como PD continuamos a pedir que o mobili\u00e1rio urbano no centro da cidade e especialmente no Haalergaass seja substitu\u00eddo, a curto prazo, por mobili\u00e1rio mais moderno. A longo prazo, toda a zona pedestre deve ser redesenhada em coopera\u00e7\u00e3o com os cidad\u00e3os interessados.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As&nbsp;<strong>cheias<\/strong>&nbsp;de 100 anos em Julho de 2021 e v\u00e1rios per\u00edodos de chuvas fortes real\u00e7aram mais uma vez a import\u00e2ncia das medidas de preven\u00e7\u00e3o e protec\u00e7\u00e3o contra as cheias. Os conselheiros da DP solicitaram, portanto, que as cheias recorrentes nos v\u00e1rios distritos da cidade fossem documentadas e analisadas a fim de se tirarem as conclus\u00f5es necess\u00e1rias.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ao contr\u00e1rio de outros munic\u00edpios que t\u00eam envolvido os seus habitantes desde o ano passado, organizando conversa\u00e7\u00f5es ou reuni\u00f5es de informa\u00e7\u00e3o em colabora\u00e7\u00e3o com os minist\u00e9rios competentes, o conselho de vereadores da cidade de Echternach tem comunicado muito pouco sobre a quest\u00e3o das cheias.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Isto \u00e9 tanto mais grave quanto se sabe h\u00e1 anos que as canaliza\u00e7\u00f5es de \u00e1gua e de \u00e1guas residuais em muitas ruas precisam de ser reparadas ou ampliadas. O parque de estacionamento na Rue des B\u00e9n\u00e9dictins deve ser bem-vindo. Como PD, sempre sublinh\u00e1mos que o parque de estacionamento de v\u00e1rios andares deveria ter sido constru\u00eddo em primeiro lugar como parte do projecto &#8216;Campus Station&#8217;.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Para al\u00e9m dos grandes parques de estacionamento, devem ser mantidos v\u00e1rios lugares de estacionamento para carros e bicicletas no cora\u00e7\u00e3o da cidade.
