Notre commune grandit de plus en plus vite. Fin de l\u2019ann\u00e9e 2024, nous d\u00e9passerons les 6 000 habitants dans la commune. Dans la Cit\u00e9 Eechelter et dans l\u2019Eisch Zenter (rue Ermesinde, \u2026.), de nouveaux grands quartiers voient le jour. Une fois tous ces travaux termin\u00e9s, la population explosera \u00e0 nouveau. Cette \u00e9volution \u00e9tait attendue depuis longtemps et avait \u00e9t\u00e9 pr\u00e9vue il y a d\u00e9j\u00e0 des ann\u00e9es. C’est pourquoi, en tant que DP, nous avons \u00e9t\u00e9 tr\u00e8s surpris que notre conseil \u00e9chevinal a insist\u00e9 jusqu’\u00e0 r\u00e9cemment sur le fait que Steinfort ne construirait pas de nouvelle \u00e9cole. Notre \u00e9cole est remplie \u00e0 craquer depuis des ann\u00e9es…<\/p>\n\n\n\n
R\u00e9cemment, ils ont pris conscience et ils ont r\u00e9alis\u00e9 que quelque chose devait se passer pour nos \u00e9coles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Un avant-projet a enfin \u00e9t\u00e9 pr\u00e9sent\u00e9. Celui-ci \u00e9tait insens\u00e9 que judicieux. Plusieurs nouveaux b\u00e2timents devaient \u00eatre construits sur le site de l’\u00e9cole actuelle pour accueillir davantage de salles de classe. Cependant, et malheureusement, la cour d\u2019\u00e9cole dispara\u00eetrait presque compl\u00e8tement. Nous priverions les enfants de la possibilit\u00e9 de s’amuser avec leurs amis pendant la r\u00e9cr\u00e9ation. Les meilleurs souvenirs d\u2019enfance \u00e9taient ceux de la cour d\u2019\u00e9cole. Voulons-nous vraiment retirer cela \u00e0 nos enfants ?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Nous saluons le fait que le conseil \u00e9chevinal fasse enfin quelque chose en ce qui concerne les \u00e9coles, mais nous exigeons qu’un concept r\u00e9fl\u00e9chi, ordonn\u00e9 et durable soit \u00e9labor\u00e9 en termes de ce qui sera donn\u00e9 aux enfants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
La commune r\u00e9fl\u00e9chit actuellement s\u00e9rieusement \u00e0 une extension de l’infrastructure scolaire \u00e0 Kleinbettingen et ceci parall\u00e8lement \u00e0 une extension de l’\u00e9cole de Steinfort. Pourquoi la commune n’a pas pens\u00e9 \u00e0 informer l\u2019architecte \u00e0 utiliser les terrains situ\u00e9s \u00e0 l\u2019arri\u00e8re de la Maison Diderich. Ils commencent \u00e0 l\u2019arri\u00e8re de cette maison et vont jusqu\u2019\u00e0 la cour d’\u00e9cole actuelle. Ces terrains ont \u00e9t\u00e9 achet\u00e9s \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9poque par la majorit\u00e9 CSV\/DP pour justement y construire un nouveau campus scolaire.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Nous esp\u00e9rons que notre commune ne va pas l\u00e9siner et faire un projet \u00e0 la va vite mais bien se concentrer sur les besoins des enfants. Esp\u00e9rons qu’il n’est pas trop tard.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our municipality is growing faster and faster. By the end of 2024, we will exceed 6,000 residents. In the Cit\u00e9 Eechelter and the Eisch Zenter (Ermesinde Street, \u2026), new large neighborhoods are emerging. Once all these projects are completed, the population will grow even further. This development has been anticipated for a long time and was already planned years ago. That is why, as the DP, we were very surprised that our municipal council had insisted, until recently, that Steinfort would not build a new school. Recently, they became aware of the issue and realized that something needed to be done for our schools.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A preliminary project was finally presented. However, it was more senseless than sensible. Several new buildings were planned to be constructed on the current school site to accommodate more classrooms. Unfortunately, though, the schoolyard would almost completely disappear. We would deprive children of the chance to play with their friends during recess. The best childhood memories were those of the schoolyard. Do we really want to take that away from our children?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
We welcome the fact that the municipal council is finally taking action regarding the schools, but we demand that a well-thought-out, organized, and sustainable concept be developed regarding what will be offered to the children.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The municipality is currently seriously considering expanding the school infrastructure in Kleinbettingen, alongside an extension of the Steinfort school. Why hasn\u2019t the municipality thought of informing the architect to use the land located behind the Maison Diderich? It starts at the back of this house and extends to the current schoolyard. This land was purchased years ago by the CSV\/DP majority specifically to build a new school campus there.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
We hope that our municipality will not cut corners and rush through a project but will focus on the needs of the children. Let\u2019s hope it\u2019s not too late.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
