Behind the Scenes of Luxembourgish Democracy: a Visit to Parliament

On Wednesday, November 5th, members and friends of DP International had the opportunity to visit the Chamber of Deputies — the very heart of Luxembourgish democracy.

The visit provided an opportunity to ask questions, share insights, and observe firsthand how parliamentary life unfolds in practice.

The event was organised by Vice President for Events, Zamira Pode-Hirsch, and served as an opportunity to reaffirm DP International’s mission. During the event, President Christos Floros reflected on why such initiatives matter and what drives the wing’s work:

“What we try to do is ensure that this chamber represents us. That it represents everybody.
Our party has always stood for inclusion, for progress, and for social-liberal ideas. This is why we organise. This is why we do this job.
Our work, our main priority, is to ensure that international voices in Luxembourg can have a way of participating in our electorate.
That’s our goal at DP International: to give you a voice, to give the international community a voice.”

This underlines DP International’s commitment to inclusion and civic engagement: ensuring that international residents are not only informed about how democracy works in Luxembourg, but are also empowered to take part in it.
