Celebrating the 1st of May with the DP Mamer

It’s a long-standing tradition: on May 1st, the Democratic Party of the Municipality of Mamer organizes a big celebration. On this public holiday, it’s a fixed date for many people from the region and far beyond. This year again, the DP of Mamer was able to welcome hundreds of guests, including members of the government:

-Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Xavier Bettel;

-Minister of Defence, Minister of Mobility and Public Works, and Minister for Gender Equality and Diversity, Yuriko Backes;

-Minister for Family, Solidarity, Cohesion and Reception, Max Hahn;

-Minister for Digitalization and Minister for Research and Higher Education, Stéphanie Obertin;

-Minister for Education, Children and Youth, and Minister for Housing and Spatial Planning, Claude Meisch;

Among them were many other politicians, including MP Corinne Cahen – who is also Vice President of the Democratic Party – Barbara Agostino, Mandy Minella, and Gusty Graas, Amela Skenderovic, Vice President of the Democratic Party, as well as the President of the Young Democrats and Mayor of Leudelange, Lou Linster. The Mayor of Mamer, Luc Feller, along with aldermen Francine Closener and Ed Buchette, and many members of the Mamer municipal council also stopped by for a drink.

In summery weather, they and the many other guests were able to enjoy a wonderful moment on the holiday with excellent food. The DP of the municipality of Mamer extends a big thank you to everyone who helped make this wonderful day possible, especially the always helpful and efficient municipal staff.

We are already forward to welcoming you on May 1st 2026 in Mamer!
