For constructive and fair play politics

A look back at a very active 2025 for the DP Gemeng Mamer section during its general meeting held on 28 January at the ‘Wëllebau’ village hall in Mamer.

Around thirty friends from Mamer and elsewhere gathered for this important moment in the life of the section. Its significance was underlined by the presence of Corinne Cahen, Vice-President of the Democratic Party’s Executive Committee, Lou Linster, National President of the Jonk Demokraten, and Marc Meyer, President of the DP’s Southern Constituency, among others.

The president of the DP Gemeng Mamer section, Sven Bindels, and the section secretary, Jessica Klopp, reviewed a year rich in activities – the May Day celebrations in Mamer being the highlight – but also in political work.

Jessica Klopp and Sven Bindels, who are also representatives on the Mamer municipal council, governed by a CSV/LSAP majority, highlighted the DP’s initiatives for a construction site coordination service in the municipality, the commitment to a new sports complex and the organisation of festivals in all the villages in the municipality – not just in Mamer.

The president also welcomed the completion of major projects long sought by the DP, such as the municipal swimming pool, which has been open to the public since last summer.

The DP Gemeng Mamer has no shortage of ideas for further improving services to citizens and their living environment, as well as for preparing a balanced future development for Mamer.

‘The DP Gemeng Mamer represents constructive and fair play politics in the interest of every citizen,’ emphasised Sven Bindels.

Subsequently, the report on the work in the advisory municipal committees of the representatives of DP Gemeng Mamer was presented by Vice-President Claude Karger. The members are very active and committed to these advisory bodies. Finally, Treasurer Daniel Magar was able to present the comfortable financial situation of DP Gemeng Mamer.

The general meeting ended with a dinner in an excellent atmosphere at the ‘Wëllebau’ restaurant.
