Sunshine all day, great conversations, laughing faces, good food and a cool drink: the traditional folk festival of the DP municipality of Mamer for the 1st of May was again a huge success. Hundreds of people from near and far came to the rendezvous at Mamer Castle to fully enjoy the lovely afternoon. Among them were Ministers Stéphanie Obertin, Max Hahn, Claude Meisch and Gilles Roth, Deputies Gusty Graas, Luc Emering and Djuna Bernard, the Mayor of Mamer, Luc Feller, Councillor Ed Buchette and many municipal councillors. The DP South Committee, led by its president Marc Meyer, was also well represented, as were the Young Democrats, led by their president Lou Linster.
The DP Gemeng Mamer’s May Day celebration has been a fixture in the municipality’s festival calendar for decades and is the best way to welcome May.
