Active for Europe
In May 2014, the European liberals entered the European election campaign for the first time under the new name “ALDE Party”. Almost unanimously, the 33rd ELDR Congress in Dublin decided to change the party name to Alliance of Liberals and Democrats for Europe.

ALDE Individual Members
An individual membership in the ALDE is a sign of support for European liberal values, freedom and personal responsibility, democracy and the rule of law, respect for human rights and tolerance. For the ALDE party, this is a new way of involving interested European citizens in the activities of the ALDE. Individual members of the ALDE are a sign of real, lived basic democracy and are increasingly playing an active role in the life of the ALDE.
