North, President of the Chamber of Deputies, Member of Parliament

Fernand Etgen was sworn in in Chambers in 2007. During the ‘Bettel I‘ government, he was Minister of Agriculture, Viticulture and Consumer Protection. While in office Fernand Etgen accomplished one of Europe’s most modern animal protection laws. The Anti-Gaspi (Anti-waste) – policy was another focal point of his work. Ever since 2018, Fernand Etgen is the president of the Chamber of Deputies. The first citizen of the country wants to modernise his role and make the parliamentary work more transparent to the outside world.
