How do you communicate political ideas clearly? What makes a good social media post? And how can constructive messages cut through the digital noise?
These questions took centre stage at FUTURElab. on Saturday, 19 September 2026. Members and elected representatives from a wide range of local branches and all electoral districts came together for three workshops to develop their skills, share experiences and explore new ideas. Each workshop approached communication from a different perspective.

“Communicating in the political arena” explored how to convey messages clearly while letting your personality shine through. Newer or less experienced elected representatives gained theoretical insights and practical tips on crafting clear key messages and using storytelling.
“Using social media for local communication” took a practical approach. Communications officers from local branches explored the possibilities offered by posts, Reels and Stories on Facebook, Instagram and TikTok. Concrete examples showed how the DP’s refreshed visual identity can be adapted for local communication.
“Cutting through the digital noise” provided a space for open and constructive discussion. Examples from Luxembourg and abroad sparked conversations about attention, political content and entertainment. How can we reach people who are turning away from politics? And how can positive communication resonate in an increasingly polarised environment?
The strong interest and lively discussions made this edition of FUTURElab. a success. A big thank you to all participants and workshop leaders for their contributions, questions and ideas.
