Why do trains run less frequently on the line 10 between Kautenbach and Luxembourg city?

Contrary to the official schedule, a train runs between Kautenbach and Luxembourg city at the moment only every hour, instead of every half hour. Since this causes difficulties for people from the area to get to school and to work, the DP MP André Bauler asked what is the reason for this and what is planned to improve the situation .

„Laut offiziellem Horaire vun der CFL, dee bis Dezember 2022 gülteg ass, soll op der Linn 10 zu all voller Stonn en Zuch vu Kautebaach an d’Stad fueren. Et ass mir allerdéngs zu Ouere komm, dass dësen Zuch aktuell net fiert, wat fir vill Leit aus der Géigend, déi op Ettelbréck, Dikrech oder an d’Stad an d’Schoul oder op d’Schaff fueren, onnéideg Ëmstänn mat sech bréngt.

An deem Kader wollt ech dem Här Minister fir Mobilitéit an ëffentlech Aarbechten folgend Froe stellen:

  • Aus wéi engem Grond fiert den Zuch zur voller Stonn net méi?
  • Wat ass geplangt fir ze garantéieren dass d‘Leit aus der Géigend vun enger gudder Verbindung mam ëffentlechen Transport an d’Nordstad an an d’Stad Lëtzebuerg kënne profitéieren?

Sämtlech IC-Zich op der Linn 10 aus an a Richtung Léck fueren zënter dem 5. September 2022 effektiv net méi um Tronçon Kautebaach – Lëtzebuerg. Dës Zich ginn duerch Material vun der SNCB assuréiert am Kader vun der stëndlecher Verbindung tëschent Léck a Lëtzebuerg.

Bedéngt duerch den Äerdrutsch am Tunnel Schieburg den 27. August 2022, ass den Streckendeel tëschent Klierf a Kautebaach bis op Weideres gespaart, soudatt dës Zich hiren Terminus zu Klierf hunn.

Well sämtlecht Material schonn an den Trafiker agesat ass, war et den CFL och net méiglech fir dës Zich an der Tëschenzäit duerch CFL-Material z’assuréieren. CFL hunn awer zesummen mat der SNCB no Léisungen gesicht, soudatt d’Faarten vun dësen Zich rëm kënnen, no enger Upassung vum Emlafplang vum Material vun der SNCB, ab dem 19. September 2022 garantéiert ginn.

Wéinst der Spärung vum Streckendeel tëschent Klierf a Kautebaach fueren dës Zich awer, bis zum Ofschloss vun de Reparatiounsaarbechten am Tunnel Schieburg, just tëschent Ettelbréck an der Stad an zeréck.

Duerch operationell, ewéi och infrastrukturell Contrainten ass et leider net méiglech fir des Zich ab a bis Kautebaach fueren ze loossen.

D’Organisatioun vun engem Schinnenersatzdéngscht per Bus tëschent Kautebaach an Ettelbréck, deen nieft der bestoender stëndlecher RE-Zuchverbindung tëschent Kautebaach an Ettelbréck géif fueren, ass mangels den néidegen Personalressourcen och net méiglech.

Dobäi kënnt datt d‘Fuerzäit vu minimum 40 Minutten fir d’Stréck tëschent Kautebaach an Ettelbréck per Bus ze bewältegen, keng interessant Alternativléisung fir d’Clienten, par Rapport zu der Fuerzäit vun 13 Minutten vun der stëndlecher RE-Zuchverbindung tëschent Kautebaach an Ettelbréck, duerstellt.

ITM controls in the gastronomy sector

A public institution for blood donations?
