Introduction of skin cancer screening?

Since 2008, skin cancer screening has been available in Germany for all policyholders aged 35 and over. As a result, many cases of skin cancer are detected earlier. DP MPs André Bauler and Gilles Baum wanted to know from the Minister for Health how skin cancer figures have developed here in the country since 2013, whether such screening would also be useful in Luxembourg and why only figures for melanoma (black skin cancer) are collected.

Question

Dat statistescht Bundesamt huet rezent matgedeelt, datt an Däitschland d’Zuel vun den Hautkriibserkrankungen tëscht 2002 an 2022 staark zougeholl hätt, an zwar ëm 75%. D’Fäll vun hellem Hautkriibs hätten sech méi wéi verduebelt. De schwaarzen Hautkriibs (Melanom) wier ëm 14% gestigen.

D’Zuel vun den Doudesfäll wéinst Hautkriibs ass an deem Zäitraum ëm 65% geklommen. D’Zuel vun den Doudesfäll wéinst Kriibs ass an deem selwechten Intervall just ëm 10% erop gaangen. Dës Augmentatioun vun den Zuele léisst sech ënnert anerem dorobber zeréck féieren, datt an Däitschland zanter 2008 all Versécherten ab 35 Joer all zwee Joer un engem Depistage fir Hautkriibs kann deelhuelen.

An deem Kader wollte mir der Madamm Gesondheetsministesch follgend Froe stellen:

  • Wéi vill Fäll vun Hautkriibs goufen zanter 2013 am Registre National du Cancer (RNC) erfaasst?
  • Madamm Ministesch, wier et net sënnvoll och hei zu Lëtzebuerg een nationalen Depistage fir Hautkriibs anzeféieren ? Falls net, aus wéi enge Grënn ?

Am RNC gi just d’Melanomen, also d’Fäll vu schwaarzem Hautkriibs, gezielt.

  • Kann d’Madamm Ministesch präziséieren firwat net och d’Fäll vu wäissem Hautkriibs am RNC gesammelt ginn? Wier et eng Iwwerleeung wäert an Zukunft och dës Zort Hautkriibs am RNC ze erfaassen? “

Second classroom support staff and A-EBS in cycle 1 of primary education

To ensure more effective pedagogical differentiation from the start of schooling, the coalition agreement foresees the gradual introduction of a second classroom support worker in cycle 1. This second staff member could also play a key role in the rollout of Project Alpha, especially in preparing children for literacy in German or French. Furthermore, assistants for pupils with special educational needs (A-EBS) are set to ease the workload of specialised teachers. Our MPs Gilles Baum and Barbara Agostino have submitted a parliamentary question to the Minister to clarify the implementation timeline and progress of these initiatives.
