New adaptations for the bus line 555?

After the introduction of the new bus timetables on December 13, certain problems arose, in particular with regard to school transport. It has come to the attention of the deputy of the DP André Bauler that the line 555 was also concerned, hence his question to the competent minister, if it is planned to adapt the schedule of this line as well.

« An der Äntwert op meng parlamentaresch Fro n°3191 vum 23 November 2020 ass den Här Minister op zousätzlech Adaptatiounen vun de Buslinnen 522, 536, 540, 545, 560, 568, 571 a 572 am Norde vum Land agaangen, nodeems d’Ännerung vum Busplang op den 13. Dezember fir Schwieregkeete gesuergt hat, besonnesch wat de Schülertransport betrëfft.

Allerdéngs ass mir zougedroe ginn, dass och d’Schüler, déi vun Huldang op Dikrech an de Lycée classique fueren, a bis viru kuerzem d’Linn 555 konnten huelen, eng Rei Schwieregkeete mat dem neie Busplang hunn. Sou géif z.B. nëmmen ee Bus moies bei den LCD an nomëttes um 15.00 Auer vum LCD op Huldang fueren, soudass déi Schüler, déi schonn um 12.00 Auer fräi hunn, kee Bus fir heem kréien.

Allgemeng hunn ech och vu ville Leit héieren, déi bis elo mat der Linn 555 op Dikrech gefuer sinn, dass sech hir Situatioun mam neie Busplang wesentlech verschlechtert huet, soudass der vill rëm wëllen op den Auto ëmklammen.

An deem Kader wollt ech dem Här Minister fir Mobilitéit an ëffentlech Aarbechte folgend Froe stellen:

– Ass den Här Minister schonn iwwer dës Problematik informéiert ginn ?

– Ass virgesinn fir zousätzlech Busser fir de Schülertransport anzesetzen fir esou eng besser Ubannung ze garantéieren ?

– Huet den Här Minister wëlles de Fuerplang vun der Linn 555 z’adaptéieren fir dës nees méi attraktiv ze maachen ? »

Answer

The Minister for Mobility writes in his reply that it would not be possible for financial and organizational reasons to cover every single case with a dedicated school transport. Therefore, no further adjustment would be provided for the time being.

Do rapid diagnostic tests help against antibiotic shortages?

France is considering only allowing antibiotics to be prescribed if a rapid diagnostic test is carried out beforehand. This would make it possible to determine with certainty whether the infection is bacterial or viral.
This could on the one hand counteract the lack of antibiotics and on the other hand reduce antibiotic resistance.
DP MPs Gilles Baum and Gusty Graas asked the Minister of Health how many antibiotics have been prescribed in Luxembourg in the last five years and whether doctors should be made more aware of prescribing diagnostic tests.

Is therapeutic housing being commercialised?

Therapeutic housing is currently offered by approved outpatient psychiatric services to people suffering from mental health problems.
Rumours are now circulating that the Ministry of Health is planning to entrust the management of therapeutic housing to a commercial company.
DP MPs Gusty Graas and Gilles Baum asked the Minister for Health whether these rumours were true and, if so, why this course of action was being pursued rather than supporting the existing players in approved outpatient psychiatry.

Is there also abuse of “proton pump inhibitors” in Luxembourg?

According to a recent scientific study, the long-term use of so-called “proton pump inhibitors” (IPP), which are used to treat stomach problems, increases the risk of developing dementia.
