The “Tirelbaach” is causing floodings in the municipality of Bettendorf

In the event of torrential rains, or when it rains for a long time without interruption, the “Tirelbaach” quickly emerges from its bed, where many basements are often flooded. DP MPs André Bauler and Luc Emering asked the Minister for the Environment, Climate and Biodiversity whether the Water Management Authority had already carried out studies to find out whether there are possibilities for retention and renaturation to stem flooding, and what the results showed, why nothing concrete has yet come out of it and whether there are any problems with buying land.

Question

„Et ass bekannt, datt d’Tirelbaach, déi duerch den alen Deel vun der Uertschaft Gilsdref an der Gemeng Bettenduerf leeft, zimmlech séier aus hirem Bett klëmmt, wann et wärend Stonnen an engem Stéck reent oder am Fall vun engem « Sturzregen » (« pluie torrentielle »).

D’Waasser leeft da bis an den Zentrum vu Gilsdref (Haaptstrooss) eran, sou datt etlech Kelleren iwwerschwemmt ginn. D’Waasserwirtschaftsamt ass « au courant » vun där Situatioun an huet och schonn eng Versammlung zu deem Probleem gehal.

An deem Kader wollte mir dem Här Minister fir Ëmwelt, Klima a Biodiversitéit follgend Froe stellen:

1. Huet d’Waasserwirtschaftsamt scho Studien duerchgefouert fir erauszefannen, ob et Retentiouns- a Renaturéierungsméiglechkeeten am Dall vun der Tirelbaach gëtt, fir d’Iwwerschwemmungen zu Gilsdref anzedämmen ? Wa jo, wat sinn d’Schlussfollgerungen, déi aus dëser Studie gezu gi sinn?

2. Firwat konnt bis dato nach näischt Konkretes an deem Beräich an d’Wee geleet ginn? 3. Ginn et eventuell Probleemer beim Kaf vun Terrainen?“

No access to biological results in the LëtzHBM study?

As part of the LNS study ‘LëtzHBM’, biological and environmental samples are collected to determine the presence of chemical substances in private households. The results of the biological samples, unlike the environmental samples, are not systematically communicated to the participants.
DP MP Dr Gérard Schockmel has asked the Minister of Health why these results are not communicated and whether this is compatible with data protection regulations.

How long are the waiting times at the “Travel Clinic”?

If you are travelling to tropical regions, you can get advice and be vaccinated against various diseases at the CHL’s “Travel Clinic”. However, the waiting times at this clinic are currently said to be quite long.
DP MPs Dr Gérard Schockmel and Gilles Baum have asked the Minister of Health how many patients have been seen at the “Travel Clinic” over the last ten years, how waiting times have developed over this period and whether it would not make sense to make it possible to book appointments online, as is the case with many other CHL services.
