Will there be delays in the delivery for the new trains for the CFL?

DP MPs André Bauler and Max Hahn asked the minister responsible if there will be delays in the delivery of the new trains for the CFL due to the pandemic.

« Dans le but de moderniser une partie du matériel roulant au service des CFL et en réaction à la croissance considérable des passagers au fil des dernières années, le gouvernement a décidé en 2018 d’acheter 34 nouveaux wagons pour voyageurs « Coradia » du constructeur Alstom.

Le calendrier de livraison initial prévoyait que les premiers wagons devraient être livrés entre décembre 2021 et décembre 2024.

Dans ce contexte nous aimerions poser les questions suivantes à Monsieur le Ministre de la Mobilité et des Travaux publics :

  • La pandémie aura-t-elle un impact sur le calendrier de livraison initial ?
  • Monsieur le Ministre peut-il fournir des détails concernant la programmation des différentes étapes de livraison ?
  • Monsieur le Ministre peut-il informer sur quels tronçons du réseau ferroviaire luxembourgeois il est prévu de mettre à disposition ce nouvel matériel roulant, sachant que celui-ci contribuera à accroître la qualité des transports publics ? »
