Since 2023, Xavier Bettel is Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs, Cooperation, Foreign Trade and the Greater Region. From 2013 to 2023 the lawyer was Prime Minister of Luxembourg, Minister for Communications and Media, Minister for Digitisation, Minister for the Administrative Reform and Minister for Religious Affairs.

Prior to this Xavier Bettel was mayor of Luxembourg city and president of the DP.
