Troisvierges – Another closure of a post office branch ?

Over the past five years, many post offices have been closed and replaced by alternative distribution channels, such as ATMs and online services. In this context, our deputy André Bauler asked the Minister of the Economy about the future of the post office in Troisvierges.

« Je viens d’apprendre que le bureau de poste de Troisvierges risquerait d’être fermé dans un avenir proche. Or, il y a peu de temps, le bureau en question avait été réaménagé pour répondre au mieux aux besoins de la clientèle régionale. Il est donc surprenant qu’une telle décision puisse être prise quelques mois après.

Voilà pourquoi j’aimerais poser les questions suivantes à Monsieur le Ministre de l’Économie :

  • Monsieur le Ministre peut-il confirmer cette décision ?
  • Dans l’affirmative, quelles en seraient les raisons ? Endéans quels délais cette fermeture aurait-elle lieu? Combien de clients et d’employés seraient concernés directement par cette décision ?
  • Monsieur le Ministre n’est-il pas d’avis que de telles décisions ont un effet négatif sur la vie sociale et sur le futur économique de tout un village qui vit en partie du commerce local ? »

Should employment contracts for students be reformed?

Students are allowed to work a maximum of 346 hours per year up to the age of 27. However, there are also students who would like to work more in order to earn a living. DP MPs Corinne Cahen and Barbara Agostino have asked the Minister of Labour how many students were working in 2024 and whether the Minister would be prepared to allow students to work more hours per year and to raise the age limit from the current 27 years.
