Will the ATM at the Post Office in Echternach be closed?

DP MP Carole Hartmann has heard that the ATM at the post office in Echternach is set to close. In this context, she wanted to know from the Minister responsible whether this would be the case and whether the office is also planned be closed.

« Il me revient que la POST prévoirait de fermer le distributeur de billets automatique de son bureau à Echternach.

Dans ce contexte, j’aimerais poser les questions suivantes à Monsieur le Ministre de l’Économie :

  • Monsieur le Ministre peut -il confirmer cette fermeture ? Dans l’affirmative, quelles en sont les raisons ? Endéans quels délais cette fermeture aura-t-elle lieu ?
  • Le bureau de la POST reste-t-il néanmoins ouvert ? Combien de personnes sont employées dans ce bureau de la POST ? Combien de clients y passent par jour/semaine/mois ?
  • Monsieur le Ministre n’est-il pas d’avis que de telles décisions ont un effet négatif sur la vie sociale et sur le futur économique de tout un village qui vit en partie du commerce local ? »

Answer

Le bureau de POST à Echternach restera ouvert. Au premier trimestre de l’année 2022, il a enregistré 240 visites par jour en moyenne. L’effectif au bureau est adapté en fonction des besoins.

POST Finance confirme néanmoins la suppression du distributeur de billets en question au 1er juillet 2022 et indique que la raison principale de cette mise hors service est le risque élevé d’attaque à l’explosif sur ce distributeur étant donné son accessibilité 24 heures sur 24 et ses caractéristiques techniques.

POST signale que ses clients ne subissent toutefois aucun préjudice suite à la suppression de ce distributeur de billets. En effet, deux distributeurs de billets alternatifs se situent à moins de 100 mètres de celui mis hors service par POST et POST Finance offre la gratuité illimitée des retraits sur tous les distributeurs de toutes les banques au Luxembourg et en Europe à ses clients.

Should the LNS and private laboratories work closer together on biopsies?

No more reimbursement for dermatoscopic photos?

As part of a dermatologist’s examination, photos can be taken of suspicious skin areas where there is a risk of skin cancer developing. DP MP Gusty Graas has now been informed that these photos will no longer be reimbursed by health insurance. In a parliamentary question to the Minister of Health, the liberal politician would like to know, among other things, why this decision was made and how many patients have been reimbursed for such photos taken by dermatologists in the last five years.
