Focus on social cohesion

In his state of the nation address, Prime Minister Xavier Bettel highlighted the social-liberal aims of the government by announcing new social measures.

These include:

  •  Increase of the cost of living allowance

  • Free school lunches for low and middle income families

  • Child benefit re-indexation

  • Free homework support

  • Fee day care centre (maison relais) during school weeks

  • Free music lessons

  • Housing subsidies reform
