Will the right to abortion be reformed?

The Ministry of Health had announced that a working group will discuss the reform of the right to abortion. DP MP Gusty Graas asked the Minister of Health when this group will start its work, which actors will participate in the work and whether a reform can still be expected in this legislative period?

« Le droit à l’avortement – et donc à l’autodétermination physique – de nombreuses femmes est restreint dans plusieurs pays.

En guise de contre-mouvement, d’autres États veulent étendre ce droit ou l’inscrire dans la constitution.

Le ministère de la Santé a évoqué des discussions en vue d’une révision du droit à l’avortement.

Dans ce contexte, j’aimerais poser les questions suivantes à Madame la Ministre de la Santé :

  • Quand le groupe de travail prévu pour réviser le droit à l’avortement se réunira-t-il ?
  • Quels acteurs feront partie de ce groupe de travail ?
  • Quels points seront discutés et quand les travaux du groupe de travail devraient-ils être terminés ?
  • Madame la Ministre, pense-t-elle qu’une réforme du droit à l’avortement sera mise en œuvre avant la fin de la législature ?
  • Un groupe de travail sur l’établissement de statistiques avait également été annoncé l’année dernière. Ce groupe de travail a-t-il été constitué ? À partir de quand le ministère de la Santé publiera-t-il des statistiques sur les interruptions de grossesse au Luxembourg ?»

Should the LNS and private laboratories work closer together on biopsies?

No more reimbursement for dermatoscopic photos?

As part of a dermatologist’s examination, photos can be taken of suspicious skin areas where there is a risk of skin cancer developing. DP MP Gusty Graas has now been informed that these photos will no longer be reimbursed by health insurance. In a parliamentary question to the Minister of Health, the liberal politician would like to know, among other things, why this decision was made and how many patients have been reimbursed for such photos taken by dermatologists in the last five years.
