Agroforestry: a solution to better resist climate change?

Global warming and increasingly frequent droughts have negative consequences for Luxembourg's agricultural land. Agroforestry could be a solution to protect our soils against drought. In this context, DP-MP André Bauler asked the Minister of Agriculture for more information on Agroforestry.

Forst- a Landwirtschaft ginn heibäi matenee kombinéiert. Beem an Akerkulturen, Wisen oder Weede ginn an engem Gebitt sou kombinéiert, datt et gläich gutt fir d’Landwirtschaft, d’Natur an de Klima ass.

Felder iwwersti länger Dréchente besser, well de Mikroklima um Feld ënner dem Schutz vun de Beem verbessert gëtt a manner Waasser verdonst. Aner Virdeeler vum Agroforstsystem sinn de Schutz vum Buedem virun Erosioun, de Schutz vum Grondwaasser a vun der lokaler Biodiversitéit.

An deem Kader wollt ech dem Här Minister fir Landwirtschaft, Wäibau a ländlech Entwécklung folgend Froe stellen:

  • Gëtt et hei zu Lëtzebuerg e Programm fir dës Bewirtschaftungsform ze fërderen ?
  • Wa jo, wou lafe sou Programmer a wéivill Hektar si betraff ?
  • Wat fir Beem ginn haaptsächlech ugeplanzt fir d’Wise wärend enger Dréchent ze schützen ?
  • Soll d’Agroforstwirtschaft am Kader vum nächsten Agrargesetz finanziell ënnerstëtzt ginn ?

Crushing of materials in the green zone

DP MPs Luc Emering and André Bauler put a number of questions to the Minister for the Environment concerning the crushing of materials in the green zone.
