Why is there no awareness raising campaign on road safety and visibility this year?

During the winter months visibility is most important for pedestrians and cyclists to avoid accidents. While the government organised a awareness raising campaign the last years in this regard, there seems to be none this year, which is why the DP MPs Max Hahn and André Bauler wanted to know what are the reasons for this.

„Am Hierscht an am Wanter, wann et méi däischter dobausse gëtt, klëmmt och de Risiko, dass et zu Accidenter am Stroosseverkéier kënnt. Besonnesch Foussgänger a Vëlosfuerer sinn an deem Kader enger besonneger Gefor ausgesat, dowéinst ass et wichteg, dass si gutt siichtbar sinn am Stroosseverkéier.

Déi lescht Joren gouf zesumme mat der Sécurité Routière eng Sensibiliséierungscampagne mam Motto „Gitt siichtbar – réflichissez – Sidd opmierksam – regardez“ organiséiert, fir eben d’Foussgänger a Vëlosfuerer drop hinzeweisen, wéi wichteg eng gutt Visibilitéit an der däischterer Joreszäit ass, a gläichzäiteg d’Autosfuerer ze sensibiliséieren gutt opzepassen. Allerdéngs ass eis opgefall, dass dëst Joer bis elo keng sou eng Sensibiliséierungscampagne organiséiert ginn ass.

An deem Kader wollte mir dem Här Minister fir Mobilitéit an ëffentlech Aarbechten an dem Här Minister fir bannenzeg Sécherheet folgend Froe stellen:

  • Wat sinn d’Grënn, firwat dëst Joer keng Sensibiliséierungscampagne organiséiert gëtt?
  • Sinn d’Häre Ministeren der Meenung, sou eng Campagne sollt reegelméisseg, am beschten all Joer, organiséiert ginn?“

DP MPs Luc Emering and André Bauler put a number of questions to the Minister for the Environment concerning the crushing of materials in the green zone.
