Parliamentary Elections 2023: The DP North proposes 9 Candidates to the Steering Committee

Tonight, the Regional Committee North proposed its 9 candidates for the parliamentary elections on October 8, 2023, to the DP Steering Committee. The regional lead candidates are Fernand Etgen and Marc Hansen.

The average age of this DP list is 47 years.

  • Fernand Etgen, lead candidate, President of the Chamber of Deputies, 66 years old, Oberfeulen
  • Marc Hansen, lead candidate, Minister of Civil Service and Delegated Minister of Digitalisation, 52 years old, Useldange
  • André Bauler, Member of Parliament, professor of economics and social sciences, 59 years old, Erpeldange-sur-Sûre
  • Amel Cosic, alderman, administrative employee at CHDN, 33 years old, Wiltz
  • Anne Daems, civil servant, 42 years old, Ettelbrück
  • Angèle Mersch, course instructor at LTA, 27 years old, Clervaux
  • Edy Mertens, mayor, doctor, 68 years old, Wilwerdange
  • Mike Poiré, mayor, lawyer, 44 years old, Mertzig
  • Eric Thill, mayor, political advisor, 29 years old, Schieren

According to the DP statutes, it is the responsibility of the Steering Committee to decide on proposals from the districts. The DP will present the 60 candidates and its campaign for the 2023 parliamentary elections on Saturday, July 15, at 11 a.m. at the Atelier (54, rue de Hollerich, L-1740 Luxembourg).
