Public service administrations in the ‘Nordstad’

In an interview, the Minister for Spatial Planning expressed the wish that a number of administrations should settle in the 'Nordstad'. As a city close to the river and close to nature, the 'Nordstad' has immense prospect which the government would like to develop in cooperation and in dialogue with the communes. What kind of administrations are they and where are they going to be set up? Member of Parliament André Bauler has asked the responsible ministries.

« De 27. Datt méi Verwaltungen an den Norde solle kommen ass sécherlech e wichtege Schratt a Richtung administrativ Dezentraliséierung. An dofir däerf et net beim fromme Wonsch bleiwen.

An deem Kontext wéilt ech folgend Froen un den Här Minister fir Landesplanung stellen:

  • U wat fir Verwaltungen huet den Här Minister geduecht, wéi hie gemengt huet, där missten nach an d’Nordstad an aner regional Zentre vum Norde kommen? Wéi gesäit hien déi administrativ Entwécklung am Nordbezierk iwwer déi nächst fënnef Joer?
  • Ass d‘Ausso vum Här Minister am Interview vum 27. Februar just eng Iwwerleeung oder gëtt et mëttlerweil en interministerielle Grupp, deen sech konkret mat dëser Thematik befaasse soll?
  • Wat fir Conclusiounen huet den Här Minister zesumme mam Comité politique Nordstad an dësem präzise Kontext gezunn? Gëtt et do mëttlerweil méi grëffeg Schlussfolgerungen, och am Zesummenhang mat der geplangter Fusioun?
  • Gëtt dru geduecht fir Co-Working Spaces an der Nordstad an op anere Plazen am Nordbezierk, besonnesch an de Kantone Réiden, Woltz a Clierf,  anzeriichten, dëst fir den Teletravail ze fërderen a gläichzäiteg déi sozial Kontakter tëscht de Beamten ze ënnerstëtzen? Gouf et do schonn en Austausch mam Ministère vun der ëffentlecher Funktioun?
  • Wéi kann een d’Diskussioun ronderëm déi administrativ Dezentraliséierung nei beliewen fir datt se méi nohalteg gëtt an net all Kéier riskéiert bei Ukënnegungen ze bleiwen?
  • Sinn dem Här Minister Sitte bekannt, op deenen een am Norden Infrastrukture kéint schafe fir nei Verwaltungen oder staatlech Zerwisser unzezéien? Féiert hien an deem Sënn Gespréicher mat de Gemengen?»

Answer

The minister’s declarations are in line with the general aim of a national state policy that aims to create optimal living conditions and promote sustainable development through decentralization. The works on a national strategy “Vision Nordstad 2035” are in full swing and will be completed over the coming months. The ‘Nordstad’ is to become the third development pole in the country and to function as a “door to the north”. The state also rents additional administrative spaces in the ‘Nordstad’, which should allow for its administration and services to further develop in this region as well.
