Why is it not possible to do an apprenticeship as a disabled worker?
Young people with a disability do not seem to be able to do an apprenticeship in Luxembourg and at the same time have the status of a disabled worker. The study on the reduction of working time refers to the results of the study on the “Plan d'Organisation du Travail” - POT for short - which was introduced by law in December 2016. The law of 20th June 2020 suspended the 26-week period of protection against dismissal in the event of incapacity for work during the period of the state of crisis and modified the legal framework.
